About Me

My photo
ETHEL JAYNE is my pen name so to speak, but she is so much more than that. She is my creative side, my artistic talent, the definite stronger side to the two of us. We are now as one, but I will admit that we have struggled for the wheel for years and years. She is strong, confident, and full of wonderful new imaginative ideas. So here is where I will let her shine, and hopefully through success, we will find a happy medium of co-existence.

So here is a line we are calling "Auntie Teak" after the antique crazy quilt we cut up to make them. Now before all of you cringe in disgust, over our blatent destruction, we salvaged the quilt from the dark depths of a wet basement, so it really never would have made a nice quilt. We believe the quilt dates back to the 1930's. Now how cool is this! They are really "one of a kind pieces"!

The Stacey Satchel

Here is the new Stacey Satchel! It will come in many many sizes and colors, and these are just the ones we have done at the moment. I am so excited about this style. First because I love the satchel/messanger style look over the shoulder, and second because some of the feedback that I have gotten from our shows has been to add flaps, closures, snaps or hooks to secure them shut. Well, here is a flap! This one in red has a multi colored striped interior, and the red was a table cloth found at a local Good Will Store.

This Stacey Satchel is Brown and Aqua and was previously a bed sheet, with a cool square pattern to the fabric.

And this last one is Red with black on the inside. The red was a really cool King size blanket I found at a thrift store from Pottery Barn, and the inside was a pillow case. I love using this type of fabric the most, because of the texture and thickness. Check it out.

Here are two bags, that have both sold. I loved them both, and they found very happy homes. Color abounds in them. I will put pics of all kinds of the bags with the trees up soon. The trees are becoming like a symbol for Ethel. Kind of like the tree of life. Let me know what you guys think.
